Customer Conduct Policies

Tea Room Communication & Conduct Policy

At Whistle Stop Tea Room, we are committed to providing excellent service in a respectful and supportive environment for both our customers and our team. We strive to create a peaceful, welcoming space where all guests can relax and enjoy a delightful experience.

To maintain this standard, we ask that all communication—whether in person, by phone, or online—remain courteous and respectful. We do not tolerate:

~ Abusive, threatening, rude, disrespectful or aggressive language or behavior
~ Harassment, discrimination, intimidation or personal insults of any kind toward our staff or other customers
~ Repeated disregard for our policies or procedures

~ Disruption of the calm and comfort of our space

If a customer displays or engages in inappropriate conduct, we reserve the right to:

~ Ask the guest to modify their behavior

~ End the conversation or interaction immediately
~ Refuse service, support, or access to our business
~ Involve authorities if necessary

We believe kindness and mutual respect go a long way, and we thank you for helping us create a positive experience for everyone.

Our team is here to serve you with care and hospitality, and we ask that interactions remain polite and respectful at all times.

We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us maintain the calm, community-focused environment that makes Whistle Stop Tea Room special.

Children in the Tea Room

We are delighted to welcome you and your little ones to our tea room. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we kindly ask that:
~ Children remain seated at all times during your reservation.

~ Inside voices must be maintained at all times

~ Parents or accompanying adults assist children when handling china, teapots, or other delicate items.

We are a primarily adult focused tea room and unfortunately do not offer booster seats or highchairs.

These guidelines help us maintain the serene atmosphere of the tea room and protect our cherished china. We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Dietary Restrictions Policy

To ensure the best possible dining experience, we kindly ask that you inform us of any dietary restrictions, preferences, or allergies at the time your reservation is made and when submitting menu pre-orders. Because your items are made the morning of your reservation so we may serve it fresh, please note that we are unable to accommodate dietary requests made last minute or on the day of your reservation.

No Show Policy

If you decide to not attend your reservation, we do accept cancelations 24hrs+ before your reservation time. However, if you do not show up to your reservation and we do not receive any notice of cancellation via text only, we will - regrettably - be unable to accept any future reservations from you. This policy is meant to be a courtesy to all our guests that would have liked to book at that time and helps us manage our availability responsibly.

Parties with 13+ Guests

Thank you so much for your interest in hosting your gathering with us. At this time, we only offer private event bookings for groups of this size.

Our tea room is quite small and accommodates a maximum of 25 guests. In order to maintain the peaceful and intimate atmosphere that all our guests come to enjoy, we’ve found that larger parties—especially those over 10-12 guests—tend to impact the overall experience when not booked privately.

We truly appreciate your understanding, and we would be delighted to host your group as a private event to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable time for everyone. If you would like to learn more about how to host a private event and move forward with booking, please click here to navigate to our event page.
